A fire broke out at the airport hangar, ignited by a batch of phones and accessories at around 5 am today.
There was a batch of phones and accessories packed and placed at the airport hangar, waiting to be moved into the plane. A fire was suddenly ignited and it quickly spread across the whole batch, which occupied a 12m x 24m area, as shown in the video.
The firemen put out the fire in about 40 minutes, yet the goods were wet and ruined.
According to photos on the internet, among the goods included Vivo Y20 model smartphones. The phones were supposed to be sent to Bangkok, Thailand. The flight cancelled after the incident.
The fire is believed to be an accident and the cause is still under investigation.
Vivo is a Chinese technology company and a subsidiary company of BBK Electronics Corporation.
